Redhill slimmer shapes up for magazine cover Redhill And Reigate Life
A Redhill slimmer is celebrating shedding six and a half stone and making the cover of a top diet and fitness magazine.
Lauren Panton, who used to weigh 16st 1lb and wear a size 20, is now a slim and trim 9st 9lb and a size ten.
She is featured on the cover of this month's issue of Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness magazine, and is also appearing on Rosemary Conley’s internet TV channel.
Lauren said her disastrous weight gain began when she left her school fitness regime behind and started university and a student diet of takeaways and high-fat ready meals.
She said she realised it was time to change her eating habits when even the size 20s were beginning to get too tight, and shopping was becoming a nightmare.
“All my friends would look slim in jeans and little skirts and tops. I felt like the token fatty, covered up and looking and feeling much older,” she said.
She decided to join Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs, joining her first class in October 2008 in Kings Norton, Birmingham, where she was a student, and lost a stone in the first month.
